Find examples of maps, and write what inspires us about them.
1:
London Underground Map
This map inspires me because it is associated with my childhood. And makes me feel nostalgic thinking that it was part of my daily life.
I also love the organisation that metro maps have; the colours, the stops and the different shapes that the lines do and overlap.
It gives me a sense of order and neat arrangement that satisfies my brain.
2:
World Map
This map inspires me because every map you would think of is in this one.
For me it’s like the main idea of anything on our earth. you live here and I live here, our home.
I specifically love this map because I love our earth and I would love to take care of it for the rest of my life and beyond that.
3:
High school Map
This is my boarding high schools map, the reason this inspires me is not only the feeling of comfort that it gives me but the way that everything is located and gives a clear systems with words and numbers.
I love the watercolour they used to make it and how the buildings aren’t drawn in a top view but in a slight angle.
